Privacy Policy
This policy explains what JASO SMI LLC (“JASO”, “we”) collects through jasosmi.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It covers candidates applying for roles and client teams sending us roles.
Information we collect
- What you send us. When you email us or use the contact form, we receive your name, your email address and whatever you write in your message.
- Mobile number. If you choose to subscribe on our updates page, we receive the mobile number you enter, so we can send the alerts you asked for.
- Consent record. We record whether you ticked the optional SMS consent checkbox, together with the date and time of your submission. This is our evidence that consent was given — or that it was not.
- Technical data. Our form endpoints record the IP address and browser user agent that submitted a form, so we can prevent abuse of the forms.
We do not ask for and do not want sensitive identifiers — government ID numbers, dates of birth, or financial account details — through this website. Please do not send them.
How we use it
- To answer your enquiry and to progress your application for a role.
- To send job alerts and related updates, where you have opted in.
- To keep a record of the consent you gave, so we can demonstrate it if asked.
- To protect the website forms against spam and automated abuse.
Text messages
Our text message programme is optional. You opt in by entering your mobile number on the updates page and — separately — ticking the consent box. Leaving that box unticked does not stop you from submitting the form or applying for a role.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. The full programme terms are set out in our SMS Terms.
We do not sell or share your mobile information
We will not sell or share your mobile information with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.
We will not sell, rent, or share your mobile opt-in data, including phone numbers and SMS consent, with any third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the text message services.
Sharing
We share information only where it is needed to run the service: with the messaging provider that delivers our texts, with the hosting provider that serves this website, and with a client team when you ask us to put you forward for a role. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Retention
We keep applications and consent records for as long as we need them to run the desk and to meet our legal and carrier obligations. You can ask us to delete what we hold about you at any time.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text message to end the alerts immediately.
- Email [email protected] to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted.
- Use the contact form without ticking anything — the SMS consent box is optional.
